R&K Specialized Homes, Inc. is a service provider for individuals with developmental disabilities. We were founded in 1990 by Roy and Kitty Hernandez, on the principles of community integration, self-determination, education, and service from the heart. What started as a family owned company remains one, over 20 years later.
R&K’s mission is to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and their care givers. We believe that the individuals we serve have a right to our support, respect and compassion, that it is our job to provide a safe, stimulating environment where stigma and isolation are minimized, and to provide opportunities for our residents to determine the direction of their lives. We do this through community and family involvement, through well-trained, committed providers and staff, and by seeking an active partnership with family and advocates. We seek to encourage the individuals we serve to develop to their maximum potential.
R&K is also invested in improving the lives of our caregivers. We understand and value the contribution that these individuals provide day in and day out to our residents. We are committed to supporting our staff by providing advancement opportunities through a uniquely designed career path.
